Auxein Medical, has officially launched its DAIS academy. The main objective of this division of Auxein is to support the training of medical personnel, which is why the first cadaveric course on upper limb has already been carried out, whose instructors were Dr. Enrrique Vergara and Dr. Elkin Lozano (two of the most important and recognized upper limb orthopedic surgeons in Colombia). Similarly, due to the COVID 19 pandemic, the DAIS academy has been offering webinars (lectures by instructors of different nationalities), completely free and without any commercial intent.

Panasonic, Japanese consumer electronics giant, has certainly made a lot of geeks and robotics nerds happy with their announcement on January 2 that they will go into mass production globally for their “powered suit,” to be made available as early as 2015. This suit is a sort of robotic exoskeleton which will enhance the strength of the user, most likely in lifting heavy objects. The powered suit will be priced at a relatively low price of 500,000 yen (around US$4800).
